Usability & User Experience (UX) Design
Usability is achieved when a user can effectively, efficiently, and satisfactorily interact with a website. User experience (UX) design focuses on having a deep understanding of users and what they need, what they value, their abilities, and also their limitations, while taking into account your business goals and objectives. We strive to improve a user's interaction with and perception of your business, your website, and its offerings.
Usability Inspections
An inspection or heuristic evaluation is based on several criteria including generally accepted best practices, established standards, and common user expectations in areas regarding usability. Web pages may be evaluated based on, but not limited to, the following criteria: functionality, understandability, browser and operating system compatibility, broken links, labeling, navigation, plain language writing, etc. The inspection's purpose is to point out a site's strengths and weaknesses and to provide a site's owner, content author(s), and / or developer(s) recommendations to improve the overall site's performance.
Accessibility
Web accessibility is achieved when people with disabilities can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with a website. While accessibility encompasses visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities, it can also benefit users without disabilities. It can have an impact on people with "temporary disabilities" such as a broken arm and people with changing abilities due to aging. We strive to implement accessibility and its core principles in our websites, meeting different user needs, preferences, and situations. In many cases, this can also lead to the improved usability of your site.
Accessibility Reviews
A review is a reasonable effort to disclose your web site or application's general level and degree of accessibility at the time of the review. The review's purpose is to help you in determining any problems, issues, concerns, or findings that could improve the overall accessibility of the site if corrected or resolved. The Illinois Information Technology Accessibility Act (IITAA) Guidelines Version 1.0 are used as the benchmark criteria for the review.
